I haven't personally read any of these but I am sure there is something there that would meet your requirements.
    Books - Shootingstuff

I have some quite old books, not longer in print, written by a West German Olympic shooter. Although it bit aged now they covered all aspects equipment, techniques, mental prep, health etc. I am sure there are modern equivalents in the the link. Long since ceased SM.

Lanny Bassham's “With Winning in Mind” is excellent. I have misplaced my copy. Also anything written by Lones Wiggers. They put a lot of emphasis on the mental development.

Bernd Klinger "Rifle Shooting as a sport"
This covers 3P but is good for the " English match" as we shoot it in nz.

@Bagheera - what vintage is that book? I have a feeling Klinger wrote the books I have very safely stored away, somewhere....

Zimmer im sure it will be the same one you recommended. I see Amazon lists an edition from 1982, which would be about right.

There is another book on competition and training which i havent read.
