    Right hand left eye?

Afternoon everyone, hope you are all enjoying the nice little warm spell.
I am wondering if anyone else has the same issue as I have with my right eye and how they overcome it when looking through the scope?

My issue is that my right eye doesn't work near as well as my left eye and after lengthy and costly investigation there is nothing that they can do about it. I am not blind in that eye just it is considerably down the scale compared to my left which is 20:20
I am wondering if anyone has ever shot right handed and left eye'd and if so how did you manage it with the stock etc. Can you get rings that offset the scope to the left?

Currently if my reticle is clear my target is fuzzy and vice versa, throw the left eye in and both are clear as a bell.
I can get by with what I have just looking for the best really and at this stage not wanting to try to learn left handed shooting, I would probably take a toe off or something.

Just wondering if shooting with both eyes open might help???

All shooting is for animals/ deer with the time in the range for sighting in.

Thanks in advance and stay safe out there.

As awkward as it is. Have you tried shooting left handed? I also remember seeing on here someones son shot using the opersit eye to side he was shooting. Seemed to work for him. I guess kids also adapt faster.

Why not just go left hand?
When I had shoulder surgery I shot left hand for about 5 months with the bigger guns didn't really notice any difference except the bolt being a bit more tricky.

Which is your dominant eye? My left eye turned out to be the dominant one so I learnt to shoot lefty otherwise I had to shut one eye to shoot open sights or bow. You will work it out and join the gifted few

Here is the perfect stock for you:
Right Hand / Left Eye Stock - MPISTOCKS.COM

Other wise, have you tried to adjust the Eye focus on your scope? Does that help?

Thanks for that, yeah tried the lot. Eye focus on scopes just buggers me up.
Have the cash to use for a very good scope just most of my hunting is bush rather than tops where I might have time to line the shot up.
Seriously thinking about the left hand but the brain says no thanks

two options spring to mind...shoot left being obvious one
a red dot scope being the 2nd...shoot both eyes open and the red dot will seem to "float" in spaceas your thinking department as ability to do it....the early red dot scopes weren't see through you HAD to shoot both eyes open. also a magic red beam may be faster still......make em bleed then squeeze of a shot.....

Just shoot like me, right handed but shoot left because I'm left eye dominant. Practise heaps with an air rifle and it only takes a month or so to relearn

Thinking that may be the answer, not happy but plenty to persevere with.

I've changed to left hand shooting after an eye injury about 2 years ago. It takes a while but I'm getting used to it.
I still use right hand rifles but had to build up the cheek pieces.

Right handed and left eye dominant. I shoot right handed guns left handed.

With practice, you get used to holding the rifle with the left hand and cycling the bolt with the right.

To get used to shouldering the rifle, I went shot gunning at the local field and game.
