I replied "you know nothing. GD x"
I just got a text from my 19 year old Grandson after sending him these bragging pics (he works for a pest contractor); "a bit too high and forward Grandad". Ouch. How the worm has turned, huh.
I dont think I could suffer the noise of the motor.
I carried the thing (boned out legs and bk stks) 45 minutes up a zigzag track. Brian met me half way and took my rifle. Offered to take my pack but I said if he did then I wouldn't be able to say I...
This evening. 100 yards or so with 60 grn Hammer. Made it about 30 yards.

Have a look at the 52 grn Hammers. They are good and might stabilise although 1/10 is recommended. The 44 grn is recommended for 1/14. You will be shocked when you see the price.
Lauries Hut 9 twist or faster.

Not sure what you are referring to by "they" but yes, 22.250 are almost exclusively 1:14 twist which limits them to lighter bullets like the 55grn and some 60grn. Whereas it is usual for the .223 to...
I like 20". Handy without giving away too much performance. Have 2 at that length.
I have to say though that my full length Tikka doesn't bother me at all.
Savage lightweight with 1:8 Hardy Barrel.
Use the M7 on wallaby but not deer so much cos of its 1:9 twist. But the Hammers do work in it ok.
TeRei Its what happens when you use a decent bullet. I can send you some to try? :)
This evening. 230 yds with a 60 grn Hammer. Front on central neck shot. Bored a good hole right through his neck and spine.
He was letting out the odd roar.

The 73ELDM are made specifically for a 2.26” mag. That is why there is a 73 and 75 ELDm.
In any event I’m satisfied that the safety envelope is inside the confines of the sorts of loads being used...

I shot this using the new Sytong Day/Night scope. It was just on dusk and in colour/day mode. Nice clear image. Shooting it at 150 yards over my pack was easy peasy. I also scoped a few deer on my...
Reloaders Supplies have/had them.
This evening, 150 yards or so. 60 grn Hammer Hunter (3150 fps). Lung shot and passed though. Ran about 50 yards.

Gunworks are out of them and say that Hornady aren't making any more of the 62 grn.
The labelling says they are just Gamekings. They go well on deer.

I can tell that you are hovering towards casting the little 52 grn Barnes to one side and going for proper big bullets :) :).
I’ve got 200 each of 80grn Targex and 77TMK so probably the 80 Targex cos they shoot in 2 rifles with one just a bit shorter OAL. Load a pile then shorten some back.
Terrible roar. Haven't shot a real stag. Have passed on scrubby 8 point reds and smaller Fallow. Have only seen one decent Fallow.
Saw the good buck last night but he gave me the slip.
This...
74 Targex at 240 yds this evening.
