Like a few other things in life, it gets easier after the first time. I'm not afraid to admit to cutting and suppressing both a CZ Ebony Edition 223 and a Sako Bavarian 6.5x55, I didn't want to, but neither do I enjoy partial deafness & tinnitus. Admittedly, it was a hard decision, but it was a case of A) Selling them B) Keeping them and not using it C) Suppressing them and using them for what they were designed for. I like the traditional wood and blue steel, just not the traditional hearing damage that come with them. Apologies for the tangent to original thread, confession over.
I think the technical term for this is: Being Practical.
