    Shooting 338LM

Obviously there was some interest in this subject recently , and thanks to Herbmeister I found this very informative article in Snipers Hide forum. . . .

    Gunsite XLR & 338 Bullet Test | Sniper's Hide

Well worth a read if you're into LR/ELR

PS, I'd love to see someone arguing with this lot !

Lately ive got my .338 running superb.... I have been coldbore 1st shot hits to 1200m very very very consistantly literally never miss... Today I git a 2m rock 1st shot warm bore at 1592m..... Compared to my 6.5 target rifle this sort of stuff is only acheivable to 800m with the smaller weopen.....

Example the other day it was blowing 20~30 knots I hit tge 734 & 833 1st hit 338 using 1 mil windage on the 833m & I think 0.7mil on closer.. 6.5 was 1.5 mil on 734 but I just couldnt connect the 833 with it......

All I wanna do is get loose in the mountains with 100 rounds and sum tahr wayyyyyyy out!!!

Its all very well to say that.. But its a total different thing in the hills... 1300m on animal in the hills is huge.. You have to factor in all the envirnmental factors that change... Makes it very unfair to the animal..

Its the biggest buzz there is to build a load and hit something..... "anything" with it really far......
Then hit the deck and make the load better...

375 is a waste of time.... the bullets are to big, the speeds are below expactations... For the $$$ & all the other crap goes with the 375s the 338s eat them as a hunting round!!!!!
