Thanks Norway. The detailed coaching on the trigger hand was much appreciated.
I imagine I’m pulling the trigger directly at an angle upwards towards the tip of my thumb which is resting on the stock.
But, in fact my index finger actually moves more horizontally back toward the base of my thumb.
I’ll try working on this next time I’m on the range.
Shows the benefit of practicing different shooting positions using your backpack and bipod. Been listening to "Form" on the Exo Mtn Gear Backcountry podcasts (episodes 469, 470) and Jay at Mindful Hunter (episode 244 "Everything you wanted to know about out shoot2hunt university". Form gets guys to set up and shoot in 10 seconds, they put over a 1000 rounds through in their course. Next level training.
Yes, I've been in contact with Form for years now - his shooting and teaching seems very much geared towards "the mechanics of killing". Thanks for the episode numbers, I'll check them out tonight!
Here's the next/last segment on backpack shooting. Not much to it, so not going to dwell overly on that subject
