    Vortex NZ Mountain Challenge

Just back from Central Otago after shooting the Challenge. A great time was had, there was some unbelievable shooting and some average shooting me more the average. Still no gear dramas or mishaps unlike the shooter at the first target with a projectile stuck in the barrel or the shooter at the 1000yd challenge with half a case stick in the action. How did everyone else go? My only hope of a good prize was the spot type and even lucked out there.
Does anyone have a score sheet that can be posted so I can laugh at myself.
Didn't meet anyone from here, don't know who you buggers are.

I did some target shooting this weekend. (Not there) but there was a guy who was putting a cleaning rod down the bore to knock a fired case out every firing. There was a comment of the rifle being a muzzle loader. The topic of jamming projectiles into the lands came up also.
I don't know why people bother with troublesome reloading methods like this.

Interesting shoot, is it one point per hit and how many shots at each of the various targets. What's the total number of shots fired per shooter?

8 stages, 2 target sizes, larger target is primary with the first 3 shots compulsory at it, first shot hit counting 3 points, second hit 2 points and third hit 1 point, smaller size target is the bonus target and it count 2 points.

    Hope it help.

@PERRISCICABA not sure what team number we were but we kicked off very late, one of the last teams up the hill. Most of the paint was knocked off the gongs so it was hard to see the targets. Had a great time though and am looking to get back next year. Did you make it to the 1000yd shoot off on Friday? I am looking to shoot the Alpine Long Range in early July up the Rakaia is it on your calendar?

I was at the 1000yd shot but I didn't have cash on me for that...

I want to go but I am unemployed at the moment, I need a sponsor and I am off... at least if I can't shoot I can laugh and have fun!

    Cheers

    Mac.
