Thread: A Christmas 2023 morning to introduce myself

Happy Christmas you all!
Here I'm still lying in the bed as we live in Germany, so 10 hours behind your time!

Germany?!
So why joining this forums?
Well, we spend 7 weeks in NZ in late summer 2023, Feb - April.
Visiting good people and also doing some hunting on both Islands, north & south!
Loads of great experience around Rotorua, Tongariro, Wellington, Kaigura, Rangitata, Whataora, Kirklistons and Fjordland.

It's been so much good time that we got addicted to NZ.
Planing to come back in 2025 to fullfil some hopes (like seeing more country, a Chamois and a stag during the rut).

So who's we???
We are my girlfriend and myself.
As a forester I work for the regional DOC. well at least my cooperation is doing the things your DOC does. so I spend also some working hours on deer management (we don't do 1080 but culling by stalking and many driven hunts).
Anyhow I started hunting long bevor choosing my plans for my professional career.
First steps has been boar hunting with dogs, Deutsch-Drahthaar (GWP) when I was 15, we also bred theses doggys. Still we have 2 old boys. Meanwhile we have also two Deutsch Wachtelhund for driven hunts.

What else? There is certainly more to say as my live lasts already 50 years... But this would probably too much for here.
