    Eyup from North Yorkshire /England

    Hi All,
My name is Mark and as the title suggests , I hail from North Yorkshire in England . I'm a huge admirer of the Kiwi approach and love of the great outdoors and hope to , one day , hunt and fly-fish in your fine country .
My shooting in the main is foxing , varminting and on the odd occasion deer stalking the diminutive Roe deer that inhabit my permissions . Shotgun wise , I don't think more fun can be had than a good day decoying wood pigeon .
I'm also a keen reloader, for my sins .
I look forward to reading , learning and hopefully contributing.

Thankyou to all you "good b'stards" for allowing me to join your forum.

Always nice to have bit of international flare.
I'm sure your you'll have plenty to contribute.
I'd be keen to see a couple of posts of hunting in England, see what's what's in Old blighty.

Thankyou for the kind words , I feel a little under qualified to post in regards to deer stalking but will gladly post in regards to my other shooting activities.

Ha, being "under qualified " stops no-one here lol. Welcome. I've learned a fair bit watching foxing, rabbiting and deerstalking vids from UK and Europe.

My mate over those ways called a fox in a couple of weeks ago and dropped it with a load of BBs from an old side by side hammer gun. I have the video, very skilful calling with just mouth on back of hand.

    Welcome Mark,
my Mum's folks were from Pickering. Mark Gaines and Alice Gaines (nee Gill). That would be in the late 1800's I think.
    Eyup...we may be cuzzies!
Will I put the kettle on then?

    Hi and welcome,

I moved here from the UK (South Coast) 20 years ago today, just love the place. It really is the best country in the world with so many opportunities, since moving here I have turned my gun hobby into a business and juts love every day.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
    To quickly answer a couple of questions ;
Pickering is just up the road , I live in Scarborough.
Foxing calibres , 223 after dark and whatever is at hand during the daytime be it rifle or shotgun .
Yes , my accent makes me sound like a Yorkshire Pudding . Could be worse , I could be a Geordie .

Tell me do you hit the rabbits with air rifles as well. Seems to a big thing over there and they pull off some amazing shots.
