    German Forester

    Hey,

my name is Julian, I am a 24 years old forester from Germany.
Right now I am doing my state examinations, which allows me to work for the federal forestry departments.
Its a good job, I am a lot in the outdoors and hunting is a part of my profession.
But years ago I have visted nz and was fascinated by the nature and wildlife.
So I think about to go to nz after I have finished this exams. Do you know If there is any job opportunity for guys like me? I have studied forestry and silvicultre and also worked for federal state department of forestry, a german nationalpark and also for the wildlife management department of my university.
The jobs I would looking for are more linked with conversation and hunting than with "normal forestry".
    What do you think?

    Best regards,
    J

Welcome GF. Good luck with the job search over here.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Julian, here in NZ the roles that a German forester does are more or less separated, ie. silviculture and game management are separate roles. However, NZ is covered in forestry so you've got as good a chance as any with your qualifications. Have a look at Forestry news, forestry jobs - Friday Offcuts for jobs. Cheers
