    hi

    Hi There

    I have been Reading this forum for a long while now and decided to join. Recently moved to dunedin from auckland, grew up in bop and been trying to hunt deer the last 3 or so years, got a few under my belt. hence enjoying the south island hunting opportunities so far.

    Have recently joined the bruce rifle club (nice range) and looking to join the nzda and hopefully head off with some local hunters for some trips closer to home.

    Have done a couple of overnight trips done over towards Te Anau way, movora lakes, kiwi burn, Oteake. I have only seen a couple of hinds so far, got a couple more weeks before i start work so going to try nevis valley in the next couple of days, any one know if its been heli hunted recently?

    Welcome to the forum.
    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
