    Hi all :)

    Hey all. I just thought i better introduce myself quickly. I am 16 years old and from Christchurch and have only recently just got my Firearms licence and looking forward to get out there in amongst all the action. I have been doing target shooting for the last year and been trapping possums since i was 12 so have some experience with them and keen to get on the rabbits soon (if dad ever takes me out and we find a nice spot). Have just bought myself a nice little .22 to start me off and hoping to get some good advice on rabbits and the like. Thanks all

    Welcome Youngllama. Plenty of rabbits in the South Island so I expect you won't need to look too hard to find them
    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

    I just bought a ruger 10/22 but with hogue stock (semi auto though ).
