    Intro

    Hi all
    I’m Will
Just been sifting through mountains of information trying to decide on my next rifle purchase and came across this forum.
Looks like I have a ton more info to soak up now!

Been doing a bit of small game/pest control shooting on a mates farm mainly .22 and the odd meat hunt for deer with my .308 every now and then.

Always on the lookout for new People to shoot with and places to go

It’s great to find a forum which has already answered some questions I’ve had.

    Cheers

Cheers guys, I’ve decided I “need” another .22
Got a savage mk2 at the moment. I like it but I’ve borrowed a mates Ruger 10/22 a few times and I like that too. So I “need” one now.

So planning to build up a nice short one. We are in and out of the 4x4 a lot spotlighting and find the savage too long with the end o barrel suppressor also.

Popped in to a few shops today and looked around. I’d be keen to see what setups people are running.
Spied the Kriss but just not sure I can justify spending that much (by the time it’s all set up)

Welcome! You can get a FAB Defense 10/22 folding stock which is not bad BUT make sure the barrel is ling enough to keep you legal. Or a PMACA chassis and fit an AR collapsing stock etc.

Yea I had a look and all the foldable stocks at the store had been pinned in the extended position already. I better go look up the rules.

    PMACA look really good

Try a Savage "Shorty" with the over barrel suppressor- very short, very accurate and quiet bolt action. Oh, and welcome, BTW!
