    introducing me self

    hi all. I'm an air rifle shooter. Just back into the scene after 40 odd years since club target shooting as teenager. Primarily for food now. Rabbits, hares, pidgin, quail, pheasant. Just upgraded air rifle to higher quality one. ( springers is my thing) like the skill required to use one. that's it in a nutshell. Hope to find good conversation and knowledge on site. cheers

    Greetings powder puff. enough gun needed for the quarry. enough range to need to stalk some very skittish animals. enough skill to not require something that shoots from distance, and needs acurate placement because it doesn't have a huge shock wave on impact. ��

    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

    thanks guys. was a bit worried I'd be shot for being an air rifle shooter.neglected to mention also use to pig hunt and goat hunt on occasion with bow and arrow. used plenty of guns on various farms and bushblocks when I was younger and farming ��. but these days I prefer to just take it easy. Great to see an active nz shooting forum.

    Welcome Kruza, there is a forum member on here called Josan he is based in the Netherlands and does a lot of Air Rifle shooting, he is one of the top shooters in the Netherlands, look him up some time.
