Introduction time
Like many others I suspect prefer to fly under the radar and have read the forum for years, enjoying the insight and the humour of others.
Like many I started hunting early and loved it with a passion. Slowly life, commitments and deer drying up led to putting hunting on the back burner until mid 30’s when timing was right and best of all a good hunting buddy came along. I live in Southland and love all the opportunities down here. I’m self-employed with the flexibility to overnight hunt during the week. I am really enjoying exploring new areas and especially a change from bush hunting and the coming to grips with longer range shooting. Shot my first pig in 38 years recently, 240m and dead on the spot. My wife probably wishes otherwise but I love buying new gear and trying it out, some works and some gets moved on for someone else to enjoy.

Welcome to the forum mate. Good to have you on board. :D

Welcome along, you might be able to administer sedatives to some of us that get a
bit over excited about things from time to time

Thanks for the welcome. Not sure about the sedatives but after 15 years working with teenagers in a specialist mental health service - I can confirm that hunting is a great activity for positive mental health and my prescription is to get out there as often as you can! On personal side I love hunting with my 21yr son.

Gidday, You'll do well here:). There's a couple of others here who work/have worked in your line of employment. But hunting and shooting brings an awful lot more of us together.

Howdy ho, welcome aboard.

Great part of the country for hunting, you’re spoilt for choice.
