    Kia Ora

    New to the forum

Recently obtained a 22 Lr, spending a bit of time around next door neighbours orchard and farm controlling the rabbit/possum population. Absolutely loving it!
Have had some experience hunting with friends and family in the past. Looking at getting set up to hunt goats and deer, on the look out for a rifle, ideally a 270 or 308. Appreciate any advice. Really keen to learn and make the most of the info on this forum!

The forum is a great place to learn and find excellent advice on anything hunting/shooting related

I’m about ten minutes from you and can get you more rabbit shooting if you want it. Can share a few Sika hunting spots too when your ready for them

    Welcome aboard
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

Thanks mate! It’s insane how fast they breed as well as the damage that is caused. Glade to do my part while having some fun!

Thanks mate! I’ll be keen to take you up on that sometime soon especially with the days getting longer. Not sure how the private message works on here or if I need approval to use it?
