Hi folks, i'm embarrassed to say I've stalked this forum for a few years, but never joined. Well here I am!
Gotta say it's a great place for information and inspiration. Thought I'd better join up as I can see it's now more important than ever that we have a unified voice for all things hunting and shooting.
A bit on my background- early 50s, worked for NZ Forest service mid eighties, south wairarapa cutting tracks, planting pines for a few months. Builder after that. Have hunted since a kid, from Stewart Island, Fiordland through to central north island. Mainly a meat hunter, but have focussed on big reds and tahr/ chamois over the past 10 years. Great to see NZ hunting in a better state than when I started out (live hinds were 3-4K), all my hunting back then was bush hunting, you seldom saw deer in the open. I've always taken heaps of photos, so I'll try and post a few when I can,. Best wishes to all!

    Welcome Fred.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
