Hi everyone recently joined the forum.
I started hunting in the mid 1980’s. I’m getting a bit long in the tooth now but still love to get out for a walk with my dog.
In fact not long after I retired, I was given an opportunity to undertake pest control work on a forestry block, so now I am actually doing more hunting than I have ever done.
I started reloading not long after I started hunting. I find this really interesting and satisfying. It adds a whole different dimension to hunting. It’s interesting to see how the different projectiles perform on game and it’s quite addictive when working up loads to try and shoot the tiniest groups possible.
I have owned a lot of rifles in different calibers, mainly because of a desire to learn how they perform and their limitations. I can’t say that I have advanced the world of ballistics at all but I have had a bloody good time.
I have done a lot of duck shooting over the years. I really enjoyed using the sub gauges…while you could still use lead. I am a big fan of the 28ga and .410. Although I have not shoot the last 2 seasons because of the work with the pest control.
Anyway, it’s great to have finally joined the forum and I look forward to learning a lot off you all.
