Hi All,
Have been registered for about a week now so was due for an intro.
Approaching 61 with 45+ years in a wide variety of hunting pursuits. The usual time off with injuries and overseas jaunts but have maintained a keen interest in hunting and all things firearms related.
Currently, apart from regularly dealing to a few pasties and out for the occasional morning or evening hunt, I’m heading down the deep dark rabbit hole of reloading. Have been slowly stocking up on gear prior to retirement but softly cursing I wasn’t more aggressive in purchasing components. We all know how that story is panning out!!! It was one of the reasons I was attracted to this forum, as well as the discussions by the more mature members on the maintaining health and fitness, the use of walking poles etc.
Also sorting gear for a ten day hunt on Stewart Is which is a bit of a novelty as I haven’t been on a multi day hunt for years due to not applying the work/life balance rules when running your own business. Yes, there is a lesson in that🤔.
Anyway, look forward to interacting with you all and hope that I can occasionally contribute something useful to the group.

Welcome, just visited your neck of the woods, not with a rifle unfortunately but lovely area to come back to - nearly 40 years since I was last there. Re reloading, all the good buys in 2nd-hand stuff seem to come out of ChCh and Southland so you should be in clover mate! the times I have wished I was a local down thataway... Anyway, good luck, the reloading bug tends to bite deep...
Feel free to drop a line if your ever Taranaki way.
