New member - Italian based in Wellington

    Ciao a tutti!

My name is Umberto and I'm Italian. At the moment I am in Wellington for a period with WHV, and I will stay here until the end of February.

I'm a hunter in Italy, it's my main hobby and I'd really like to try hunting here too. I'm looking for someone to be accompanied to the hunt.

I have a regular hunting license in Italy, and I went hunting until the day before I left for NZ. Unfortunately I was unable to apply for a hunting license in nz due to the limited time before my departure.

I'm therefore looking for information to know how to go hunting here in nz.

    Thank you all,

    See you soon
    Umberto

Welcome Umberto. There are plenty members from Wellington on this forum. I am sure that some will be along soon to help someone so far from home. Good luck.

    Ciao Umberto.
If you can get up to Taupo I'd be happy to take you out.

Where in Italy? I’ve just been to Molosco, and will likely return September next year. I can help out if you make it up to the Waikato.

Use the private message function. If for example you wanted to converse with Ross Nolan then click on his name and then select “Private Message”.

Not sure on the exact forum triggers, but you won't be able to private message people until a combination of elapsed time and posts.

Another option is to contact Wellington Deerstalkers Association. They might be able to link you up with some people. Since you've only got until the end of February, it's worth trying a bunch of angles so you can get out on a few hunts.
