    Thermal gear

I’m considering buying a thermal scope and a handheld unit. Is Pulsar worth the price?

Restraint is the better part of dignity. Don't justify getting even. Do not do unto others as they do unto you if it will cause harm.

    This.

You buy a 7 grand thermal, something goes wrong and its 2 months being sent overseas to be fixed. How to ruin your reputation in one easy move.

My dad uses all Pulsar gear, commercial shooting so it gets used and abused. Has tried Pard and Hikmicro and reckons they just give too many issues when they're getting used constantly, has several rigs with Thermions on them and a couple handhelds, one on a helmet mount. Hes had an issue with one XP50 pro which is currently away being sorted but the retailer just gave him another one to use in the meanwhile. Can you really ask for much more than that?

The money yr dad spends on gear, they should just replace broken gear straight away till its fixed. It doesnt take much to add up to a 100k over to 2 or 3 years.

Every popular brand will have its supporters. Comes down to making some comparisons, looking at the cost benefit and making sure that there is good service behind what you choose. Thats why I use Sytong/Falcoln Ken, but Ive had experience with Hikmicro too and their service turn around was exceptional.

Pulsar only look after the big spenders. Joe average has to wait 6-8 weeks for the return trip to Belarus.

The other wholesalers are cashing in on Pulsar's reluctance to support the small guy, by offering vastly superior customer support.

That bloody web page drove me nuts in less than 30 seconds. Click on night vision and it disappears on you the moment you try to move to one of the options. Then an AI version of Fraser pops up attempting to talk to you, overlaid on what you are attempting to look at. Arrrgghhhhh!!!

Up until recently Pulsar sellers couldn't discount a brass razoo with the threat of losing access, and with Pulsar running 12 mths behind Nocpix and 6mths behind Hik Micro on tech upgrades they have lost huge market share.

It’s a fast moving market with all the innovation coming from the Chinese manufacturers who have the scale and development teams to push the boundary’s. Euro and US have been left behind to some degree. If you can, get into some retailers that have a good selection and try some different models. It’s more important to select the correct device based on specs and your price range than to buy a particular brand. Give us a ring if you want to have a talk about your intended use and we can help define a spec to go shopping with.
