    Testament to a great camera.

A bit away from the norm of this section but.

The date is 5th April 2015 and Scotty and myself have been invited on a hunting trip into one of our usual haunts, it was a great day for a roar hunt and the stags were out in force and roaring well so we had gathered lots of video footage and photos through the day. As the day drew on we separated, Scotty stayed out the front of the block and i slipped back down the main block to glass my way back to the truck at the bottom.
On dark we meet up at the bottom and Scotty informs me of the magic hour in the area he was, at 5.30pm every clearing in the scrub had deer on it it was unreal he reckoned but his happiness was soon overtaken by the fact that somewhere on his walk he had lost his Video camera, either it had fallen out of its carry case or he hadn't packed it but what ever the case all of the footage and photos of this days hunt and previous were now lost.

Fast forward to yesterdays date the 3rd October, finally the snow has cleared and we have a chance to return for a quick hunt and a search for the Video camera, after a walk around we get the GPS going and bring up the old trail Scotty had walked, we walk up we walk down and up again but to no avail and on the way back down we concede that it is highly unlikely that we will find it but as we continue to walk down Scotty says "Hey here it is", it is sitting on a very open area with no tussock or scrub around it.
Upon initial inspection it all looks fine so we take the SD card out and try it in another camera, would you believe it still works and all the footage is still there, later on that night i get a txt from Scotty saying the camera also works 100%. 6mths out in the open in some pretty horrendous conditions and all it has suffered if a faded manufacturers label.
I reckon this speaks volumes about this brand of vid cam.

I have left one of those exact cameras up the reynolds on the coast, self filmed me shooting a chamois and then forgot about it, retraced steps and couldnt find it... was pissed off about that.
