@gimp, does that Manners fit a normal Model 7 or do you have to bed/alter it at all? Rough cost of it mate?

I think the Manners comes in a model 7 inlet. Stock was $1450 I think.

    Impressive rifle and performance.
I'd really like to try the same load with my T3X 223 with 1:8 twist, but don't think the magazine is going to be long enough.

Can you not just buy a M action mag? Be worth it as your tikka will eat up those 73-80gr eldms. @GWH has a 1:8 tikka and it is ruthless with those 75gr~ eldms

The feed lips on the M mag are too far apart for the 223 case

@Synthetic A useful alternative is the 77 grn Sierra Tipped Match King which are designed for the shorter AR type mags. They perform well on deer.

Not wanting to hi-jack this thread about Gimp's excellent rifle that Greg put together, but Ive now tried these 77 grn Sierra TMK at Tikka mag length (2.300") with a reasonably stout load of 2206H. 2900 fps from 22" barrel. Very good groups. Prospects are looking good.

@Synthetic, look up waters rifleman magazines sold over here. He makes and sells tikka .223 mags in a range of lengths up to 2.6 inches specifically for the 80 gn projectile loads.
