    30 Grendel Upper

    I had some spare time during the week so I dug this upper out & loaded up a few different projectiles for it.



    It uses a Proof Research Carbon Fibre 16" 1-8 300 AAC barrel rechambered in 30 Grendel with one of Scotts suppressors.



    Its been a while since I had fired it & it looks like it still likes the Speer 130 Hollow Point Varmint projectile



    Its quite a handy weight & very portable with plenty of grunt



    Looking forward to be able to take it for a walk soonish

    Those Speer 130 hp love goats! They were awesome in my 30/06. Bet they would be great on wallabies too.

    They certainly do at those velocities

    Used them in my Rum years ago, they went pretty quick

    Thinking at the 30 Grendel velocity they will probably work well on everything
    Overkill is underated !!!

    Nope, if you run hot loads you wreck bolt heads

    I know about breaking bolts...
    Tried my 6.5TCU with 147ELD-Ms the other day with 27gns 8208XBR , just for fun, got 2420fps and good accuracy and I could have stoked them a little more.
    Would have gone 6.5Grendel but cheap brass won the day
