    Import Tikka M595 Magazine

Morning all, I am looking to import a Tikka magazine from the UK rifle mags website. Is anyone interested in one of these magazines also and to split shipping costs? A reason has to be given for why the item should be imported on the permit so I could probably get away with ordering a ‘spare’ and maybe one other magazine.

Happy to discuss or if anyone has any tips or advice around this process.

    Cheers,

    Andrew

In my still born attempt to get some 788 magazines a couple of years ago I mentioned that they weren't readily available here and expensive hence the spare. Rozzers approved it.
There was 5 or so after differing mags and I tried on my permit but they made us do a permit each. Stupid really. I could only pass on to a firearms license holder and it made a shit ton of coordination necessary for us all.
If it's only a couple of magazines and they are all the same I'd stick with they are all yours and see what happens

the import permit will probably take months. I am still waiting after 2 months for mine

also factor in that you will have to pay 160 bucks or so for a courier to pick it up from the international mail centre as nz post illegally refuse to traffic firearms and firearms parts

I’m not in any particular hurry, I’ve made do with the 5 shot mag for years.

Interesting to know about the courier cost. Why $160? Seems quite outrageous.

Beretta NZ look to have one .308 595 magazine in stock. I haven't confirmed but their stock list is usually pretty accurate. $249rrp. Your local will be able to order it most likely.

Yea I’ve been on the phone to Beretta today and ordered one. Certainly easier than mucking around with permits etc. Thanks for all the help.

Not quite sure what you mean by that. The Beretta website doesn’t allow the purchase of firearms or parts so I had to call the local H&F and give the product number and get them to order it from Beretta.
