I use both cheapie bags and ZeroPak bags.
Zeropack bags are way tougher and seal better on my cheap vacuum sealer. I use ZeroPak for backstraps, pepperoni's and snack sticks the stuff I want to still be in good condition after 6 months in the bottom of the freezer.
The cheapie bags are definitely thinner and don't seal as easily in my experience, sometimes requiring a second run on the sealer bar. I mainly use them for sausages and roasts where the possibility of a little freezer burn is easier to swallow.
