    Big Beautiful Bambi Burgers

    Or the 1/3rd pounder!

Started with around 850 g of venison mince run twice through a 8 mil plate so quite a coarse grind.
    Couple hundred g of bacon.
Half a red and half a yellow rocoto chilli from the garden.
    And other as per picture.

Lightly fried the bacon then diced up finely, diced up the chilli in onion finely and fried together with bacon and some butter.

Couple of eggs and some sauce and more salt and pepper then combine everything with your hands then add some bread crumbs till just thickens enough to shape patties.

Put on baking paper between two trays so all same thickness and nice and flat for easy cooking and rest in fridge to set up for a couple hours.

Cook the patties either in the oven on 160c for 30ish min or till just cooked threw or in the pan to brown and finish in oven.

Ask the wife nicely to sort out some salady bits and build your own 1/3 pound Bambi burgers

Looks great. I love a good burger with decent thickness in the meat part.

I can see a new business opportunity VC. Cam’s make your own burgers. Hell there’s even a franchising opportunity. It’ll make you millions mate.

True. Great things like the old Cobb & Co salad bar have succumbed to the official nonsense around food safety but I still reckon I would. rock up to a make your own burger smorgasbord type joint.
