    the feed consisted of

    a boiled spud
    onion
    mince
    a can of baked beans
a pack of uncle bens tomato and basil precooked rice

All of the above slapped into the one pan

with maggi cheese flavoured instant spud to go with the feed.

So what evil looking things have you guys come up with that have come out better tasting than what you thought.

Am pretty sure you forgot the Home killed beef sausages that the dairy farmer chucked in !!!!!!! Yep wasn't a bad feed...

Probably best advice I;d say as already been mentioned in this thread already , if it's a long hard walk in take dehydrated , if not take what ever you can comfortably carry. Meat is ok , just be mindfull in spring and summer that meat will go off quickly.

Don't take any meat in with you and don't eat meat for several days before going bush and believe me you will hunt at your best. There will be no sitting around the hut swapping bullshit, you will be out there doing it from before daylight till after dark. When you do shoot one, camp on it and eat your fill and then there is a lot less to carry out.
Dead is better and eltoro like this.
Which is worse, ignorance or apathy...I don't know and don't care.

I didn't have any of the sausages as I had stuffed myself full of baked beans and bread rolls on our first night there, before they were cooked
