Thread: .22 barrel bore and re sleeve

Is there anyone on the forum who has drilled out an old .22RF and re sleeved ?
There are heaps of videos on line and it looks easy enough to do.
But would need a barrel sleeve and the correct deep barrel drill from Brownells.

Or does anyone have a deep drill that I could use at a cost etc.
I'm picking there are a few out there that have only been used once.

I doubt there would be any barrel sleeves available in NZ? But might be pleasantly surprised

I think Zac ant nth canterbury gunsmiths has done it years back

Last time I was raiding Arthur Cleland's barrel rack he had a few .22 and possibly .17 barrel liners in stock. Also has all tools to fit them. Im heading down there now so will confirm they are still there shortly

Yip there's a bunch of liners still there didnt check twists sorry. Alternatively there are a few 1-16" rimmy barrels there too
