.22 Chamber - 'opening'
I've a older .22 that I'm doing up for the kids that is real real fussy over ammo - seems really tight in the chamber.
I'd like to open it up just a fraction - anyone got suggestions on how to do this?
I've access to a mates workshop - so can get hold of most common metal working tools...
cheers in advance.

A drill with a mop on the end and some lapping paste should clean it up and open it up a touch
You can make a mop out of a piece of rod with a split down the middle fro about 1" with a hacksaw and the and insert a strip of cleaning cloth or piece of 2000+ grip wet and dry winding it against the direction of rotation. a piece of tape at the base to secure.
Lapping paste on the cloth or run the wet and dry mop against something to dull it down a bit.
Been using that method for YEARS on cylinder head porting

Go easy - a lick should be all you need

Most likly it will be damage from dry fireing as in this vid
Gunsmithing - How To Repair a Damaged Rimfire Chamber Presented by Larry Potterfield of MidwayUSA - YouTube
Doing what spanners said should work just as well;)

Ohhh that video was useful, I could do the same with a punch or similar tapered device....
I got carried away last night and glued up a rod with a little wet and dry on it, so will do a combination of both me thinks!
