He could drive and shoot anywhere the tracks will take him! (might cost a bit, but he will probably be thankful enough not to accidentally roast you with it)

If I ever wind up in a similar situation then I hope someone builds me one.
Bahaha. Yeah for sure. Just rig up an ol Flak Cannon for him to shoot from. Kill some rabbits with that thing. Probably hit some gongs as well. Lol.

Will end up finding a simple and effective project. There is some good tech out there that doesn’t cost the world. It will likely start of as a simple bench with some analog controls. Will just have to see what’s out there. I have also considered setting the scope up with one of those camera jobs.

Short term will just be a .22 (ish) set up + bench with a good adjustable saddle.

Long term; gun vice with elevation/azimuth hand cranks and a swing mount on the base like a Lazy Susan (as mentioned) + Camera/scope hooked up to an iPad.

I was once going to build a paintball gun with servo controls... all Jaycar stuff. Could do a .22 pretty easily with basic tools etc. Would be fun to build. Probably won't cost too much either.

Make him one of these. Once he's in there he'd be sweet. All the cases would fall to the bottom. Not 50 cal though. lots of fun but not really affordable.

That view just screams out Sharps 45-70, black powder loads and gongs out to 300, 500, 700yrds, just have to hook-up some bujiecords to stop recoil on the chair. A hole heap of fun,

Thinking over what gun is easiest to use. AR maybe, but racking the bolt? And mag changes? Depends on your mate's exact disability of course.

Have you considered a .22LR lever gun? Consider the magazine is loadable one handed, gun lying on table. Also lighter than AR platform. Can also handle .22 shorts for more discreet shooting without added weight of a suppressor. And you get to play John Wayne.

Shooting is really a sport for everyone!

Where i shoot mostly local farm
I have a sturdy table that lives there made from 4x2 6x2 and 18mm ply top
Just wheel my chair under and shoot normally ether sand bags bipod or lead sled if doing load development
Haveing said that just coz that works for me don’t mean that it will work for him no 2 disabled pepole are the same
It depends on how much functionality they have in the top half it doesn’t mean anything that legss don’t work they don’t hold the rifle or pull the trigger

Let's know on this thread how you solve your dad's very real-life challenge.

Btw, further to my suggestion of a lever gun with tubular mag... A .22 pump action maybe even easier to shoot. If pump handle is fixed to a swivelling rest you just have to rack gun forwards and back to cycle it.

or a 100 rd drum, you even have a good excuse to import one. load it up and he can blast away for ages without reloading. (until it jams...)
    Use enough gun
