6.5x47 Lapua ....
Anyone out there shooting 6.5x47 Lapua ?
I had been thinking of getting a 6.5x55 but I'm now I'm considering building a 6.5x47 instead as a project rifle.
At this point I'm thinking of a Remington 700 short action as the basis for the build.
Any advice / experiences that you can share would be much appreciated ...

great cal...accurate feeds well from short action... COAL no issue with 140g pills
sold mine some time ago and went Blaser 6.5x55... would love same in Blaser but not a option. Still have Redding Match, Comp Seater BD die set that I would sell.. if you proceed..

Tussock has one on a Sako 75 laminated rifle as a base, he may still be trying to sell it.

@The Claw had a nice one for sale a while back - was sorely tempted myself ...

I was quite keen on one too, until a nice little mod 7 in 260 rem popped up locally on TM ;-)

if going in a short action you better off with a 260 or x47L, other wise nothing wrong with the x55.
expensive brass for the 47L tho, but supposedly good case life and stuff like that. could be a good bush gun calibre

What 129gr pill were you using Claw? What was performance like?
