Front screw/lug, clearance all around the screw, front of the lug, sides of the lug and lug bottom. Bedding compound touching on the rear of the lug, and under front ring and barrel extension, and then around the rear screw platform.

Don't load or twist any of the other bits, they need clearance.

Ok, I already did the lug last night. That area is damaged/crushed as the insert the front screw passes through was missing and its been over-tightened as a result, then worked lose. The front insert/tube also has clearance around it, should that be minimalised as well?

Was considering doing the rear screw as well.

"Barrel extension" is the re-inforce of the chamber? on the no4 it needs a 1/2 wide x 3/4inch long pad, similar for the p14?

Provided that the front screw isn't impeded or stressed the screw tube or pillar can float or it can be locked in. The secret is that the recoil lug MUST BE correctly bedded or it doesn't matter what you do with the screw.

The reinforce is the section of barrel under the chamber and in front of the action, I'd just bed it all the way up same as the front action ring rather than just a strip (the old way the enfields were bedded prior to the advent of epoxy).
