AKA the firing pin removal tool. Looking to make a few, as A: I don't have one myself, and: B I could use the machining practice.
Not sure if the same tool does the SMLE and Number 4, ideally I'd like to be able to take both types apart. Mainly need the measurements around the teeth that lock into the firing pin and do the "unscrewing", as well as the internal diameter.

0.229 inch internal gap between the pins............The pins are 0.144 wide ....... Shaft dia 0.366.
NOtE well.the pins are not :square" shaped, They appear to be curved like a crscent moon on the inside edges.

I would be interested in buying one once you have perfected them. I have looked at getting on from liberty tree but after postage it came to $50 so am hesitant.

Piece of pipe the right size - I recall stainless tube comes in the perfect size possibly Swagelock for one of their compression fitting sizes? Then drill a hole through one end for a nail and file some lumps in the other end...

6 dollars at toolshed mate
Need a cobalt drill bit to drill the centre out, that's like another 6 dollars, a grinder and a file, had to sand down the outside diameter of socket a bit too. All up takes about an hour, for 6 dollars buy 2 and you can't go wrong. Definitely won't snap like some I've bought online
i made at least one possibly 2 at work about 6 months ago.
