If you are putting a bath (or a shower tray) in , here's a tip
Once it is all connected up and doesn't leak and before you put the front panel on, fill it with water and spray expanding foam underneath. Let it set overnight and when set it will support your weight evenly and not squeak
The best bathroom reno takes place when there is a spare bathroom to use in the meantime..
Are you doing the whole job yourself ?
Just bought a shower mixer,$287,I asked where's the shower bit,thats another $229 faaaark,got a free pizza but:(Attachment 58619
before you line the walls put in heaps of fixings for toilet roll holders, towel rails, shower doors etc. then draw a map of all the fixings ,studs and dwangs on every wall. only takes a sec , and it helps when you decide later to mount some extra stuff on the wall. pretty much every bathroom I do has something extra chucked on the wall as an afterthought.
Anotherhunters ideas of noting where timber is has been superseded... Take lots of pictures and print them out
