Chassis / stocks for Remiington 700s that also fit Barnard S actions made in NZ

    Any such thing?

Im thinking along the lines of getting a Remmington 700 .308 to target shoot to start with (up to 600m I guess). Upgrade it to a competition style chassis later on and then later on again drop in a Barnard S action with a true-flight palma barrel, put the Remmington back to stock to pop furry things.

    workable you think?

If so are there any chassis made in NZ? I buy NZ made from choice if I can.

Bryn who makes Targex bullets makes NZ wood stocks I think. Pretty much anything you want.

Aiming for a metal chassis thats adjustable something like a tactical sort of thing so I can set a cheek piece etc as opposed to a hunting stock.

    Something more like this,

XLR Evolution Chassis , Tikka T3 | Trade Me

Barnard have their 07 chassis. Not sure bout whether the Rem 700 drops straight in though? Also try Zigilani (sp?) who is a commercial advertiser on here. He was talking bout doing a chassis system. And maybe SSRNZ?

Thanks, Ive talked to Barnard and they do not...their action isnt a straight drop in to a 700 stock they say it usually needs a little work on the stock/chassis. They suggested true-flight which is were I'd go for the barrel since its NZ made so that might be the (only) plan.
