Dirt-cheap DIY reactive / 'Shoot-N-C' targets

A friend introduced me to reactive targets the other day while sighting in my new rifle at 100m -- made the holes a bit more visible!

They're not cheap though and you have to go out and buy them... so I tried making my own with hardware and dollar store materials... read on, DIY enthusiasts!

You'll need:

1. Black spraypaint
2. Paper or card, ideally flouro-coloured for good contrast
3. Zip-lock bags
4. Small white stickers, white-out or similar
5. A few minutes... Less time than it would take to go out and buy them readymade.

Put the paper/card in the bag and spray one side. Leave it to dry for a few minutes.

Put a sticker in the middle for a bullseye. I used roll-on white-out.

Here's the result from a few .177 pot shots in the back yard. Too easy!

mean the 338 boys are set all they need is to tell aos there shooting in there back yard and not to worry about the noise!!

Bloody good idea, I'm going to do this when next I'm at the range

i made a couple too. but your way looks easyer and faster. i used a wide cellotape to cover the paper, i didnt have duroseal/book cover.

Bravo poster #1, what a really good idea! Now combine it with the duraseal or a laminate instead of a bag as bully noted and it will be perfect.

I tried gladwrap on cardboard too and it made slightly nicer holes, but we all know how much of pain that stuff is to handle!

No need to over engineer what is a simple and effective solution.

Large zip lock bags cost $1.28 per 15 at my supermarket.

Yes, and a bag also flaps around in a breeze and doesnt stay secure to the cardboard..... Ile let you figure out what the effect of this is.

That's a good point, but it's nothing pins, staples, or tape wouldn't fix as per the usual paper targets.
