Thread: Finally made a barrel vice

Something I have been thinking about for a while now but never got around to. I don’t really do much barrel work (apart from heaps of threading) but recently had a few where I need to remove the barrels, luckily a mate is set up for it so I went to him.

Anyway blood sweat and swarf later and we have one, now to mount it somewhere then all done

I made similar to a commercial one and has easily replaceable jaws for variations etc.

Actually quite pleased how it turned out, I even put a name and date on it.

Wicked.

Hey mate. What was the steel of choice?

It’s all Aluminium, I copied a commercial one from a mate, the action wrench will be steel though
