    First proper stock build complete

    Hey team

I have finally completed my first attempt at a walnut stock. I was given a slab from a farmer mate and wanted to try my hand. It’s far from perfect, and a long way off some stocks on here but I’m pretty happy as a first attempt!

This is for my Browning T-Bolt .22

I made the whole stock using hand tools, chisels and files. The only power tool I used was to drill the action screw holes and to cut the blank outline

I really liked the spare mag in the stock from the synthetic stock, so managed to bring that across to this stock

The timber I used for the end cap looked much darker than it has come out. I made an axe handle from the same timber and with boiled linseed oil it came out a deep rose colour. With the tru-oil it has come out much lighter than I originally wanted. Topped with a classic Leupy Vari-x ii 2-7

    Now to the range
