Purchased a CZ 455 off here, and it came with 22 and the HMR , now the Q I wish answered is this.
Is it feasible to make up another rifle with this barrel , so I have both to utilise and no swapping of barrels.Could this be done cheaply or is it not worth the hassle .TIA
If not worth the hassle I could be tempted to take it off your hands
Buy another rifle unless you can get a cheap action that someone has damaged the barrel. That will be difficult because replacement barrels are easy to get in NZ from Killwell. Could never understand the sense of a two barrel package when you have to strip the rifle to fit the extra barrel and then re sight the scope?
I have complete rifles in .17HMR and .22WMR.
Might be worth a call to Killwell to see if you have get a bare action and stock?
do you mean adapting it to another action that isn't a 455 CZ . . . if thats your question i would say yes, anything is possible but how much do you want to pay to make it happen
i started with 1 sako quad and 3 barrels . . .. ended up buying another quad and selling 1 of the barrels
its still a good idea if you want to change to another caliber or barrel maker . .. .
The other option is sell the barrel and put the $$ towards a 17HMR. There is another thread on here I read just before with someone looking for one of these.

By the time you buy an action, and fit it to a stock it probably will be cheaper to buy another rifle. Certainly worth looking into.

Thanks Guys , I wondered at the logic of selling a rifle with two barrels , it is not exactly the easiest thing to change over then resight , then change back.
Will give Kilwells a ring , and see if I can buy a reciever or what ever I need, I guess the wood is easy enough but the rest may be a mission .
