    heirloom reborn

As a young lad I remember this rifle for killing the farm pigs it probably was either brought by my grandfather or great grandfather
As a enquisitive young lad wanting to know how things work I pulled it apart
Well it never went back together right and it never worked again
Well fast fwd a few decades it sat in the shed gathering dirt n rust forgotten
I then became more interested in hunting, guns, reloading etc

This was not how a winchester mod 04 22 short should be treated so my endeavor to hopefully restore it back to its former glory
so out went the call to find someone to help . I took it to my local gun shop and then to the local gunsmith no help from either after well over 6 months no progress  so asked for help on the forum .up stepped a bloke from the waikato he said he would have a go but as long as I didn't want it in a hurry . Well I ve waited so long whats a few months more ..
Well its not completed yet but I finally got it back home after 18 mths this how it now looks

    Thxs @Chop3r very happy here

Shit I should get my old mans .22 done.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Thats good to hear. You may have to adjust the front sight and possibly the rear sight as well as they were removed when doing the bluing.

If you do then please use a brass drift to move it
