I made this rifle stock from a chunk of native Rimu that had been lying under the house.
And a "chain saw" was used in the making of it!.

Thats a wicked work of art alrite , well done , its given me the GIVE IT A GO M8 for my ol 7 x57 Orbendorf Mauser which needs a new stock , as it was probably used as a hammer in its early life , snapped in half by the rear grip , iv got some old Mauri ( i think thats how u spell it ) lying around , was thinking that the grain of Mauri could look orsum

Na action n everything is in original condition with all matching serial numbers BUT the barrell is totalled am getting it rebarrelled back to 7 x57 again am going to put it back to iron sights again , it was me m8s grandfathers n he had it stored in the ceiling for years coz he didnt have firearms licence , oh and i got the proper spelling for the native wood , its Maire , can find heaps of it in the central north island , hard as to but heavy, put a chainsaw thru it n the bar starts to bounce ,

The reason I havn't yet is I don't have checkering tools.

I hope to get some hunting footage of it soon. I've changed scopes on it but still shoots very well, I shot a sub moa at 100 yards, out of 3 rounds 2 were touching.
I have it sighted at 1 1/2 - 2" high at 100 yards, and about 1/4" high at 50 yards.
I've loaded 140 Hornady A-max 45 grain N560 VihtaVuori powder.
I'm looking forward to my first kill with it.
