Is this a black powder deal, or are you using the modern stuff?

.12ga with 3.5" chamber would be interesting....options galore then, from shot, buck or ball plus option to feed it a belly full of black powder with minimal payload for extra effect....

I prefer blackpowder, more in keeping with the original.
So far I've only run trailboss, but have brass for the 410, which I'll run with a respectable blackpowder load. The bigger ones will just be blackpowder.

It might just be easier to make it full size, that way you wouldn't have to faff around making plastic trees or painting tiny models.

I did try using a small human instead, his inability to follow orders will probably lead to a court martial, and he was always spitting the dummy, I think model men might be more suitable.

Iknow about the wasps up their too -bloody great nest in the bank where we camped .however a decent dollop of diesel from my spare can and a few .22 rounds curbed those wee striped bastards inclinations to hang round with malevolent intent!the duck loves his bloody wildlife ,not an idle moment with him round!
