About LinkBacksBirch, the 7-08 and the 270 is ballistically exactly the same thing. Keep your 7-08 and love it. Any particular reason you want to change over to 270?
270 is a lovely calibre, but your going to spend a lot of money to own a 7mm with a different name and case.
