Yep, that's the idea. Re-did the chequering next, which I stuffed up by curving it with the grip when I should have kept it straight. But it doesn't look too bad and the wrist is too thin to start again. I learnt from my mistake and the other side I kept straight. Attachment 70498

I did consider it, but as you can't really compare both sides at the same time I opted to go straight. Funnily enough most people have no idea until I point it out. I've chalked it up to experience and try not to dwell on it!

Something you might have to consider with the forend though, may look funny on the left if the pistol grip is curved and the forend straight.
