Funniest thing- just made an item out of kauri for my mate. He wanted a ~plunger to pack sauerkraut into jars- can’t recall the proper name. Anyway, he gave me a chunk cut from an old beam sitting at his ancestral farm. Very easy wood to turn. Left it unfinished at his request

Yesterday I took a small office desk I made from it in to be sprayed. My son needed a desk for the small office in his new house. Should look pretty good I’m hoping.

The spray painter didn't muck round and I got the desk back within three days!
