Nice work GC. Enjoyed your random pics as well. Interesting shotgun pattern on that fellows back or is that from some nasty australian biters? Is that ya other half with the two guns in her belt?

Hey Ground Control, have you made any sheaths with sharper sides closer to 90 degrees. I noticed the sheaths you have shown are all rounded

Yeah but not square, something that follows the shape of the knife, hope @Tahr doesn't mind me posting it here.

    I quite like this sheath

It is a nice shape around the blade, but I don’t like the handle being above the loop of a sheath. If you have a pack on its a nuisance under the hip belt, or riding on it.

Ken, that square sheath is beautifully made.

    Cheers

On most of my sheaths I round and burnish the edge-welt . A square edge is very easy and quick to do and you will find most production sheaths are like that for cost reasons . I don't sell my sheaths so extra time taken finishing the edge isn't an issue . For example the rounding and burnishing of the edge on that Leatherman sheath is probably 2 - 3 hours of work ( The photos dont really show it off very well , it is mirror smooth ) . Most people wouldn't be prepared to pay the extra cost of that on a production sheath .
