You get the wine bottle and tape the base to the board. You run that across the edge of the bucket so that the neck of the bottle is directly above the centre of the bucket (nearly horizontal ). Then you use more tape to tape the handle of the bucket so the handle sits several inches above the neck of the bottle. Fill the bucket with water to between 1/4 and half full. Hang the bait on the handle so that it is just out of reach of prospective mouse / rat when standing on the neck of the bottle.
Mouse runs up board looking for food. Stands on neck of bottle and stretches to reach bait, slips and cannot get a grip on glass, falls into bucket and cannot get out. Drowns. Job done and ready for next guest at hotel BooKay (Bucket with a french accent....:))
