Cats have nine lives-which makes them ideal for experimentation...

Sad news for owner & staff. I had a rifle years ago with a Pac Nor barrel and it was a great shooter. Steve Blenkarn used them predominately in his days for he developed Trueflite.

They were quite popular here especially amongst the safari rifle crew as they handled a lot of the big stuff.

They are going to rebuild the factory and start production again in 6 months ish.
I guess they initially probably won't have all the options they used to offer on their site if all their reamers and buttons went through the fire.

Sent them a comiseration email wishing them well. Also said don't bother replying as they would obviously be busy as.
Got a thank you response overnight.

Have a Pac-Nor chambered in 284W. She fair hums. As good as any of my other Kreiger and Lilja barrels. Pac-Nor were very obliging in supplying out of ordinary weight and length blank in a relatively very quick time.

Steve Blenkarne (one of our first "custom" gun makers) used them. I had one of the first 7/08's in the country made for me by Steve and it had a Pac-Nor barrel. Was as good a shooter as Ive ever had. I used 130 grn Speers and it was deadly - until it got stolen minus the bolt. Howa action.

Be good if they can get set up again. I assume being a barrel maker a lot of their machinery would have been collected over decades and heavily customised, very difficult to replace.
