try twl ltd or trojans direct in auckand
Use 2 flat plates and use bolts
Voyager or DMW should have them.
Overkill is still dead.
Any half competant engineer can make them
too old to die young
For one of our trailors at work, I bought 4 that were too wide, cut the threaded piece off one side of all of them, then welded the remaining L shapes side by side, with a run along the top and bottom groove created by the round profile. Been through several warrants, never failed. One helluva lot better than the old bolt through a bit of flat plate trick.
Will try a couple of the local trailer shops tomorrow..
Twl might have what I need hopefully ..looking for 70mm internal measurement,100 mm long
70mm internal is a bit naff - most are about 78 or 80mm in that size which is the good old 3". The next size down that would be easily gettable I think is the 67 or 68mm internal, I guess that's 2-1/2 inch but the rest of us work in metric apparently nowadays so clamp them around 50mm internal/nominal SHS... Would 4mm each side extra clearance matter much on a little whingey dingey trailer?
Or looking at the picture, if the other three are looking like that why can't you get another spring washer and a locknut and reuse them? That one looks fine from what I can see. Or, I've wire brushed and spray galved a lot worse looking than that and they haven't fallen off yet...
Sorted twl had exactly what I needed.
